Anxiety

Meditation for the anxiety that is here today.

Anxiety is rarely just a label. It may feel like a conversation replaying, a future problem being rehearsed, or tension that has arrived before you know why. A useful practice begins with that particular experience rather than demanding that you calm down.

Where practice may meet you

The same need can take different shapes.

01

Before something difficult

A presentation, appointment, flight, or conversation is already happening repeatedly in your mind. Practice can help you notice the rehearsal, return to what is here, and choose the next workable action.

02

When worry keeps looping

The same question keeps returning without producing a new answer. A stable sensory anchor can create some distance from the loop without asking you to suppress it.

03

When anxiety feels physical

Tension, restlessness, or a tight chest may be more prominent than any single thought. You can work with contact, sound, or gentle movement if close attention to breathing does not feel comfortable.

Nella's approach

Steadiness before relief

Nella does not treat calm as the test of a successful meditation. The practice may instead help you recognize what is happening, feel a little less fused with the next anxious thought, and meet the next moment with more choice. You select the time, context, and techniques; your current intention gives the session its specific direction.

An intention you might bring

“I keep rehearsing tomorrow's conversation and noticing tension in my shoulders. I have ten minutes and want to feel steady enough to rest tonight.”

Ways to practice

Techniques that may fit.

No technique is right for every person or every day. These are useful places to begin.
